Rebel Networks uses the PEER 1 Networks to deliver content and traffic for its customers. Peer 1 has engineered one of the fastest and most reliable networks in the world. It delivers the lowest latency in the industry along with zero packet loss. The network is built based on a series of dedicated links between all of the facilities using multiple high-speed connections. Through strategic peering relationships with over 500 networks and utilizing four Tier 1 upstream providers (MCI, Savvis, AT&T and Sprint) to ensure continued high performance. Peering lets us reduce latency between the networks, avoid additional third-party network costs, and pass the savings on to you.

Performance
  • 100% guaranteed uninterrupted transit to the Internet
  • Zero packet loss on internal network
  • Minimal latency and no single point of failure
  • Cisco powered network using Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP)
  • Fastest inter-city times, second to none
  • UPS and diesel power generator backup
Peering

Peering is fundamental to the PEER 1 network. It is the practice of exchanging free network access with another network provider. In a standard situation, as soon as a packet of information leaves the PEER 1 network, PEER 1 has to pay for the distance it travels on other networks. But with peering, we give other networks access to the reach of our network in return for them allowing us to send packets over theirs. This extends the reach of our network, improves performance, and reduces cost, allowing us to deliver greater value to you. Since the Internet is based on the principle of global reachability - the concept that any Internet user can reach any other Internet user as though they were on the same network - peering has become an essential part of the network landscape.

PEER 1 has over 500 public and private peering agreements. We are a member of the following peering exchanges:
